Randie is a true practitioner of relevant design. It’s no accident that her work is so representative of her clients’ businesses. During her two decades of experience as a designer and art director, she has perfected a process of sifting through the details of a client’s branding and marketing goals to find the elusive “gold nugget.” The result is imagery that is not only visually arresting, but highly effective. In fact, her direct mail campaigns have boasted response rates as high as 8 percent.
From concept to completion, Randie works closely with both clients and outside vendors—and her keen knowledge of design programs and printing technologies ensures quality and consistency across campaigns. You’ve undoubtedly seen her work for clients such as Pittsburgh CLO, Pittsburgh Opera, Allegheny County Economic Development, CORE (Center for Organ Recovery & Education), PGW AutoGlass, Allegheny Valley Bank, Animal Rescue League, GNC, and Urban Tree Forge, to name a few.
The process of assimilation also plays an important role in Randie’s other passion, assemblage art. She finds herself drawn to various, seemingly unrelated everyday objects. Eventually, she discovers a story within each of these pieces and filters them through her own lens of experience until their seemingly disparate meanings become one. Randie has exhibited her assemblage pieces in dozens of local gallery shows, including two highly successful solo shows. She also won Best of Show at the Pittsburgh Technology Council’s 15-Minutes Gallery.
Randie graduated from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh with an Associate’s Degree in Specialized Technology and a major in Visual Communications.
